Senior Animator - JamFilled
This was a wonderful return to my roots as a pure CG Animator. I hadn't had a role like this in a long time and it was good to refine the old chops.
On this project, I volunteered to take on what are referred to as the "stunt shots." These are the type of shots that would ruin any other animator's quota. These are shots including multiple characters physically interacting, comedic payoffs, slapstick gags, dance sequences and anything else that doesn't allow an animator to rely on the animation reuse library. Of course, I also added plenty of top tier work to the animation reuse library!
While I was at it, because sometimes I can't help myself, I pulled out the old python coding skill set and crafted a handful of animation tools to solve some annoying issues some team members were having. I made simple tools like worldspace snapping tools and more complex interface upgrades like my Better Display Manager, my CoolTools toolbar and my compact nodeSelektor selection manager.
Not for the first time in my career, I was referred to as a "unicorn" and "complete package" by producer and anim director alike.
